Editor's Note
The Gevrasor Hill Cisterns lie 13 km southeast of central Batman, in the rocky area west of the Meymuniye Gorge. Twenty-five cisterns have been identified at the site, set close to one another and carved into the bedrock. The cisterns are round in form, widening towards the bottom on the inside, with traces of covers around their mouths. No longer in use today, the cisterns are filled with earth and rubble stone, largely destroyed and stripped of their function.
