Editor's Note
The Karayun Village Cisterns No. 1 and 2 lie 1.75 km east of Karayun village, within the central boundaries of Batman province. Two cisterns have been identified at the site: cistern No. 1 has a mouth diameter of 0.70 m and a depth of 1.50 m, widening towards the bottom. Cistern No. 2 has a mouth diameter of 0.55 m, and since its interior is filled with earth, its depth is unknown. Both cisterns are no longer in use and have lost their function.
