Editor's Note
The mosque, whose exact construction date is unknown, was repaired in 1821 by Ilyaszade Ilyas Aga, the governor (mutesellim) of Soke, and bears his name. Its name and period are often confused with those of the Ilyas Bey Mosque from the Mentese Beylik era, located near the ancient city of Miletus.
