Editor's Note
Begun in 1933 as a hospital, the building instead opened as a school under the name Ismetpasa Primary School in the 1933-34 academic year, after local residents petitioned Mahmut Esat Bozkurt because there was no school in the area. Since 1951 it has served under the name Kemalpasa Primary School.
