Editor's Note
Güvercinada Castle was built on a natural rocky outcrop. Dated to the 13th-14th centuries, this castle was also repaired during the Ottoman Empire. With a single line of walls, the castle has four towers. At the main entrance there are two towers, one with a cylindrical body and the other with a pentagonal-prism body. The Kuşadası Walls, meanwhile, were built on a steep slope to the west and on a flat stretch running parallel to the shore, and they are preserved today.
