Upper inscription: This fountain was endowed by the benefactor el-Hacı Mehmed and his sons, for the sake of God and seeking His good pleasure, the pride of teachers, Mevlana Muhammed Efendi, in the year one thousand and sixty-one (1061). Lower inscription: Built by His Excellency Abdü'l-Halim Çelebi Efendi, descendant of His Excellency Mevlana. 31 March 1339.
