Editor's Note
Founded during the reign of Abdülhamid II as the Konya İdadi (preparatory school), the school educated young generations in its magnificent stone building bearing the signature of Muzaffer Bey, the famous architect of the Monument of Liberty in Şişli, Istanbul, and it later served as the Konya Sultani and the Gazi High School. The present building was constructed between 1923 and 1934 in the First National Architecture movement style. From its founding to the present day, the structure has been known under various educational periods and different school names.
