Editor's Note
The rock relief in the village of Hatip, about 9 km south of the center of Konya, was made public in 1996 by Ali Dincol and Hasan Bahar. The relief and hieroglyphic inscription were carved into a flattened rock surface 5 m long and 2 m wide, on a rocky wall with water welling up from beneath it. The relief depicts a Hittite king or god in the act of striding to the right. In his left hand, extended forward, he holds a spear upright.
