It was built in 1653 by Hüsrev Pasha. The left wing to the southwest was added later and is the work of his son, Süleyman Pasha. The madrasa covers an area measuring 24.6 m by 17.8 m on the outside and has a rectangular plan. The building consists of a courtyard with porticoes on two sides and the two-story madrasa rooms lined up behind the porticoes. A broad pointed arch sits above the entrance in the northeast. The Arabic construction inscription is carved on white marble above the flat lintel of the doorway.
