The Yolüstü Village Cistern lies on the southern slope of the hill southeast of Yolüstü village in the Hasankeyf district of Batman province. The cistern may originally have been small, and because it could not meet the demand for water, its interior was later enlarged into a much bigger structure. Beside the cistern there is a water-collection basin, from which water flowed into the main cistern through an opening 1 m in diameter. The walls have lighting niches; today the cistern is no longer in use and shows signs of damage.
