Contracted out on 23 June 1923 and completed 4 years and 10 months later, on 14 April 1928, the bridge has five arched spans, each 35 metres wide, formed of three rows of arches side by side. Together with the nearby Nazilli Printed-Cloth Factory, it is among the landmark works of the early Republican period within Aydın province. The road across it is 4 metres wide, with pavements 50 cm wide on each side.
