Editor's Note
The Kılcızade Mehmet Ağa Mosque is located in the village of Bademli in the Ödemiş district. It is not known when or by whom the building was originally constructed. However, the inscription above the entrance to the prayer hall shows that it was enlarged and renovated in 1226/1811 by Kılcızade Mehmet Ağa, the commander of Ödemiş. The three-line inscription reads: 'Hacı Mehmet Ağa, Voyvoda of Ödemiş, who brought about the enlargement of the noble mosque. Year 1226.' See Dr.
