Editor's Note
The bridge on the road to Hisarkaya village bears no inscription that would give its date. The village elders say it was built during the time of Hacı Abdullah Bey (d. 1297/1880). In its construction technique and materials, the bridge resembles other works built in Savur during Hacı Abdullah Bey's era. It is also made of the same material as the Başkavak (Ahmedi) Village Bridge (1278/1861), which Hacı Abdullah Bey had restored. On this basis, we can say the bridge was built by the Emir of Savur, Hacı Abdullah Bey, in the second half of the 19th century (Yıldız, 2010, p. 138).
