Editor's Note
The Mesudiye Sibyan School, popularly known as the Sedirler School, began operating in 1869. According to the records of the 1906 Konya Yearbook (Salname), two teachers named Ibrahim Efendi and Yakub Efendi served here, with a total of 56 pupils studying at the school. Originally a primary school providing education in the classical manner, the institution was reorganized and modernized during the time of Governor Ferit Pasha and converted to the status of an ibtidai (elementary) school.
