Editor's Note
Ibn Battuta met here with Murat Bey of the İnançoğlu. It is thought to have stood on the hill where the Merkezefendi No. 1 Healthy Life Center now stands. This hill commands the city and later passed into the hands of various families. In 1913 it was bought from the Kunduracı Haşiller and the İzmirlioğulları and made into Denizli's hospital. The hospital was relocated after the 1950s. Today it is a health clinic, as noted above.
