Its architectural design was commissioned from the Denizli-born architect Cengiz Bektaş by the businessman Esat Sivri. It is one of Denizli's emblematic textile-industry buildings, in a city where the textile sector came to the fore. It was Turkey's first factory building constructed entirely from prefabricated elements. Completed in four months, it went into operation in 1974.
