Editor's Note
This is a seven-story multipurpose building constructed in the early 20th century by an Armenian architect who came from New York, inspired by skyscrapers. It contained a bank branch, business premises and a church. Damaged during the First World War, today only four stories and just the outer walls remain. According to Armenian sources, Archbishop Bedros Saracyan, the spiritual leader of Hadjin, had a five-story giant building erected on the rocks beside the Church of S. Asdvadzadzin.
