Editor's Note
Completed on 4 March 1922 through the efforts of the governor of the time, Müştak Bey, it was opened under the name Numune Mektebi (Model School) and took its present-day name in 1948. The single-storey school, built raised above ground level, has its entrance in the middle of the façade facing Cumhuriyet Caddesi, reached by a projecting staircase. The school was built by Hungarians, and Hungarian prisoners were employed in its construction. For a column about the building published in the Milas Önder newspaper, see H.
