Chalcetor (or Chalketor) was a town of ancient Caria; its archaeological site lies near the Karakuyu quarter of the Milas district of Muğla. Strabo records the Chalcetores, the people of Chalcetor, noting the Grion mountain range extended toward them. A member of the Delian League, the city united with Euromus in the 2nd century BC and later entered a sympolity with Mylasa.
