Editor's Note
In its decorative features, it resembles the mosques densely found around Denizli that are described as "painted mosques." It is thought that the decorations were made by craftsmen who came from this region. See Cengiz Gürbıyık, Turkish Monuments on the Bodrum Peninsula (pp. 131-145).
