Editor's Note
Pidasa (or Pedasa) was a town of ancient Caria and once the chief seat of the Leleges. A polis (city-state), it was a member of the Delian League. During the Ionian Revolt the Persians suffered a defeat at Pidasa. In the early second century BC, Miletus absorbed the citizens and territory of Pidasa through a sympoliteia agreement.
