The Boathouse is a large structure in the Kubadabad Palace complex, located on the lakeshore to the south of the Small Palace. It is one of the rare water structures of this scale to have survived from the Seljuk period, comparable only to the Alanya Shipyard. The rectangular-plan building consists of two long sections extending toward the lake. One of these sections was used for launching the boats into the water (slipping), and the other for hauling them onto land.
