The Rıza Erdem Street Abbara is located in the Gazi (Kaplan) neighborhood of the Savur district of Mardin province. Running along an east-west axis, the abbara has a rectangular plan. Following the slope of the ground, it connects interior spaces and streets to one another. Because of the slope, the height and width of the structure vary. The abbara is 10.0 m long, 4.05 m high and 2.88 m wide. Its entrances have round and pointed arches, and the passage is covered with barrel and cross vaults. The abbara was built of cut and rubble stone. During restorations the vault surfaces were painted, and the mortar joints were repointed.
