Editor's Note

The castle, formed of three terraces created by levelling the steep cliffs, is reached by a staircase from the west. The main settlement is on the south and west sides. To the east of the castle there is a quite large chamber carved into the bedrock; its roof has collapsed. Twenty metres to the north, a second rectangular-plan chamber, also carved into the bedrock, has likewise lost its roof. On the second terrace to the south and west there are numerous rock-cut tombs, and to the west rooms were created by levelling the cliffs.
