Ayn Sincar Çeşmesi

The Ayn Sincar Fountain is located in the Şehidiye neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin province. The fountain bears no construction inscription, so its date of construction and its patron are unknown. Built using masonry, the fountain was made with cut stone and smoothly dressed cut stone. With its pointed arch, it belongs to the group of fountains attached to other structures. The fountain niche of this three-section-basin structure is 3.17 m wide, 5.0 m deep and 3.90 m high. In the north wall of the barrel-vaulted fountain there is a lobed-arch opening 0.50 m above the ground, from which the water flows.
