257 Şenler Sokak Abbara

The 257 Şenler Street Abbara (a covered passageway) is located in the Gül neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin province. Built using masonry, cut stone was used in its construction. The abbara has a rectangular plan and runs north-to-south. Following the slope, the structure connects spaces to one another. Its height and width vary. The abbara is 12.50 m long, averages 4.30 m in height and is 2.65 m wide. With pointed-arched entrances, the structure is covered with a barrel vault. Discolouration is visible on the stone surfaces of the abbara.
