The Zinciriye Fountain is located in the Şar neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin province. On the fountain's pediment there is an inscription written in a band of ornate celî sülüs calligraphy. As the inscription is largely destroyed, it cannot be read. However, this fountain stands adjacent to the south facade of the Zinciriye Madrasa, built in 1385, and is thought to date from the same period. Built using masonry, the fountain was made with cut stone. With its pointed arch, it belongs to the group of fountains attached to other structures.
