The Buyukkale Rock Church in the Eroglu neighbourhood lies on the southern slope of Buyukkale, about 2.68 km southeast of the Eroglu (Hindullah) neighbourhood in the Artuklu district of Mardin Province. Carved into the rock, the church consists of a single nave. Its southern facade has collapsed entirely. This section, walled up in later periods with cut and rubble stone, suffered heavy damage and survives only partially today. On the eastern wall of the apse there is a Maltese cross painted in red madder dye within a circle.
