Editor's Note
It was built at the exit of Yatağan by the Italians who occupied the region during the War of Independence, in order to carry munitions between Yatağan and Milas. The bridge was built of iron, without welding, on a rail-based system. After collapsing in 2005 when a truck loaded with marble crossed it, it was later rebuilt, again in iron. The bridge also appears on the flag of the Yatağan Municipality and is one of the district's symbols.
