Lying to the west of and accessed from the village of Kapubağ in Yatağan, this abandoned village is now squeezed between the ash lake of the Yatağan Thermal Power Plant to its north and the excavation spoil of a new dam to its south. Abandoned 25 years ago, the village still fully reflects the architecture of an Ottoman-era Turkish village. Both the surrounding area and the old houses within it urgently need to be placed under protection.
