Editor's Note
The Erikli Church was built in an area known as the Erikli locality, about 600 m west of the western city wall of Stratonikeia. Test excavations around the church found no remains belonging to other buildings, which shows that this structure stood here on its own. After a grand road approaching the church from the southwest, the building is entered from a stone-paved area on the southern edge near the west. Oriented east-west, the church forms the main core of the complex here.
