The Gelinkaya Abbara No. 1 is located in the Gelinkaya (Kefırhavar) neighborhood of the Midyat district of Mardin province. Built with the rubble-fill masonry technique, the abbara was constructed of cut and rubble stone. Running north to south, the abbara (covered passageway) is rectangular in plan. Running along the slope, the abbara is 14.0 m long, 3.30 m wide, and on average 3.0 m high. Its entrances are round-arched and it is covered by a barrel vault. The vault surfaces have been plastered with cement mortar, and both natural and human-caused damage have been observed throughout the structure.
