The Abbara No. 1 on Fatih Street is located in the Çavuşlu (Sorizbah) neighborhood of the Midyat district of Mardin province. Built with the rubble-fill masonry technique, the abbara was constructed of cut stone. Running north to south, the abbara (covered passageway) connects the surrounding spaces with the streets. The abbara is 4.70 m long, 3.70 m wide, and 2.40 m high. Its entrances are round-arched and it is internally cross-vaulted. Erosion, discoloration, and plant growth are observed on the stone surfaces, and the joints of the abbara have been treated with plaster.
