At the farthest point of the mountains north of the district lies a ruin containing structures from the Roman and Byzantine periods. It is an old historic site adjacent to the region and within the bounds of Zeytinpınar. Surveys clearly reveal water wells carved into the rock and traces of old buildings. Rather than being a large settlement, it appears to have been built as a watchtower, constructed using a mortar known as Zift u Hacer, a mud made by mixing lime with crushed hard rock.
