The İbrahim Bey Madrasa (popularly known as the Meydan Madrasa) was most likely built in 1700–1701. It represents an early-18th-century example of the courtyard madrasa plan that began in Anatolia during the Seljuk period and developed under the Beyliks and the Ottomans. With external dimensions of 18.25 by 23.40 meters, the madrasa rests on a wide rectangular plot. The building belongs to the group of flat-roofed madrasas with an inner courtyard, two stories, and two wings. It was constructed of finely cut stone, with lime mortar used as the binding material.
