The Cumhuriyet Primary School has a U-shaped plan. It is a single-story, symmetrical building with a hipped roof. It was built of stone in rubble-fill masonry construction. According to the Osmaniye Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Yaşar Kemal graduated from this school.
