Andıl Castle stands atop Mount Andıl in Kozan. The name "Andıl" is thought to derive from the Armenian Kingdom of Andala. The castle has two stories and is built of rubble masonry. On its southern side there is a vantage point, with cliffs all around. Although its exact date is uncertain, based on the archaeological finds nearby, the building materials, and the construction technique, it has been identified as a medieval castle. From Andıl Castle one can see the great majority of the fortresses that form the chain of castles across the Çukurova plain.
