The caravanserai within the ancient city of Miletos was commissioned by İlyas Bey of the Menteşids. The structure is thought to have been built in the 15th century. This historic building, which stands in front of the ancient theater of Miletos, has a large courtyard at its center and many rooms. The caravanserai also contains stables where animals could rest and be fed.
