Editor's Note
The Deveci Han is a lodging structure that stood on the important trade route between Beçin and Balat (Miletos) during the Menteşid period. Situated on the lakeshore, the inn has a rectangular plan, is single-storied and single-aisled, and is covered with a barrel vault. Cut stone, rubble stone, and brick were used in its construction, and it was supported on the outside by buttresses. The interior space was reinforced with pointed arches. In terms of plan, it resembles the Üçgöz Han and the Kızıl Han in Beçin. Although its exact construction date is unknown, it is dated to the 14th century.
