Editor's Note
The government house was in the Sekiçeşme neighborhood. It is known to have stood on the site of today's Yunus Emre Middle School. In his 1922 work "The Social, Geographic, and Historical Conditions of Karaman," Sapancalı H. Hüseyin, mathematics teacher at the Karaman İdadi (high school), states that the government house was built in AH 1187 (AD 1773/1774).
