Yorga lies 80 km from Denizli and 38 km from Tavas. The settlement was established on the western foot of Bozdağ, the mountain that forms the Tavas-Acıpayam boundary southeast of Denizli, overlooking the Barza plain. Kidramos was identified in 1934 by L. Robert on the basis of epigraphic and numismatic evidence. Surveys conducted within the Yorga neighborhood revealed columns, column capitals, stelae, and architectural elements scattered along the village streets, in its mosque, and in the walls and gardens of its houses.
