Editor's Note
Susuz Han was built between 1244 and 1246, during the reign of Sultan Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev II. It stands in the village of Susuz, on the Antalya-Burdur caravan route. Its architecture and decoration resemble those of the İncir and Ağzıkara caravanserais built in the same period. Its likely patron is Sultan Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev II. The han takes its name ("Susuz" means "waterless") from the nearby dried-up Kestel Lake and the scarcity of water sources. Kurt Erdmann visited this han. As part of the SILK project, a 3D image of Evdir Han has been published.
