Editor's Note
It stands in the village of Dengere, known by the name Bolmepinar, in the Cavdir district. It is one of the Ottoman-period examples of the wooden-columned, earth-roofed mosques of the Seljuk and beylik eras. As it has no inscription, it is not known by whom or when it was built. The date 1661 is carved on one of the stones in the wall of the Dengere Mosque. The mosque forms a unified whole together with its minaret and ablution fountain. It is square in plan. Four columns in the centre support the roof and divide the mosque into three aisles. The ceiling is decorated with plain beams. The wooden columns are octagonal. The bases are classical-period marble columns.
