Miralay Ahmet Bey Mosque in Tarsus, Mersin Province, takes its name from its patron, Miralay Ahmet Bey. He was the son of Emin Paşa, chief physician to Sultan Murad V, and also sponsored other buildings, including the Eski Hal Mosque and a medrese in Tarsus and the Alaybey Mosque on Bozcaada island.
