Editor's Note
It was built in 1903 by Captain Mehmet Hadra, a member of the Hadra family who settled in Mersin after coming from Egypt in the 1850s and worked in maritime trade. In 1965 the ships of the Hadra family carried aid supplies to Gazimağusa (Famagusta) under the Red Crescent flag.
