The Haymaçınar plateau lies 22 km from the İskenderun-Adana state highway. The castle stands on Sırvankale Hill, about 1.5 km north-west of the plateau, at an altitude of 1,230 metres. The site of the castle narrows and stretches northward. Because an inner rampart wall separates its eastern and western sections, the castle can be examined in two parts. The western section descends and stretches out in the form of terraces.
