This rock-cut church, reached from the steep slope on the west side of the stream running along the canyon floor, sits on a sheer rock face rising from the highest point where the slope ends, about 20 m above the base of the wall. The structure was discovered during the Erdemli-Silifke surface surveys. Irregularly carved into the rock, the single-nave church measures 6.70 x 9.23 m. Notable for its decoration, this structure was deemed important because no comparable example had previously been found in the region, and this study aims to introduce it to the scholarly world.
