Editor's Note
Construction inscription: "Praise be to God, the Almighty made the date of this mosque possible. It was rebuilt and restored anew by Mengenlizade İbrahim Ağa, who left this mortal world and departed for the eternal one. May his grave be a rose garden and may he attain the highest station. Year 1204 (1790/1791)." Repair inscription: "This mosque, in need of repair for so long, was entrusted to the charitable people of Marmaris. Day and night they prayed, and God answered. Halil Rıfat Kapudan Pasha honored it, ordering its repair and the building anew of its minaret and pier…"
