Editor's Note
Crya, also spelled Krya, was a city of ancient Lycia that was both a polis (city-state) and a member of the Delian League. Its exact location is not known, but it is placed near the village of Taşyaka in the Fethiye district of Muğla. Ancient sources note three islands near the city; Pliny lists it in Caria as "Crya fugitivorum," while Ptolemy writes the name as "Carya" and assigns it to Lycia. According to the Stadiasmus Maris Magni it lay about 30 km west of Telmessos, on the gulf of Glaucus.
