According to an inscription found in the ancient city of Lissai, Arymaxa — a village of Lydai — lay south of Lissa and north of Lydai. Apart from those dating to the Byzantine era, no trace of any structure remains. At the northern tip of the peninsula, in an area set apart from the city center, one finds remains that, from the inscriptions, we know belonged to Arymaxa, a community of Lydai. The name does not appear anywhere outside this site. There are Byzantine structures, graves, sarcophagi, and rock-cut tombs.
